Interacting Multiple Model for Lithium-Ion Battery State of Charge Estimation Based on the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

In terms of the dynamic changes battery model parameters in a single-model filtering algorithm, filter estimation accuracy can be poor, and is scattered due to different internal state lithium-ion batteries aging states, which affects charge (SOC). order address these issues, an Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) algorithm was proposed this study, adopted Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) better approximate nonlinear characteristics equation while stabilizing having lower computational requirements. Accordingly, IMM used solve problem accurate SOC under change parameters. Moreover, electrochemical impedance spectrum establish model, after equivalent circuit established, improved complexity its high but complicated calculation multi-order model. By conducting experiments simulations, IMM-UKF shown achieve effective SOC, even when were uncertain.
